Fibe Raises 750 Crore to Expand AI-Driven Digital Lending Platform
The move comes after a year of rapid growth for the company. In FY 2026, Fibe’s assets under management (AUM) reached ₹8,603 crore, up 45 % year‑on‑year from ₹4,064 crore at the end of March 2024. Profit for the year also more than doubled, rising to ₹257 crore from ₹114 crore in FY 2025. These figures reflect the company’s technology‑led operating model, which relies on AI and machine‑learning (ML) across all operations.
During FY 2026, Fibe’s technology ecosystem processed approximately 1.31 million loan applications each month, resulting in fresh disbursals of ₹7,614 crore. The platform handled 15.74 million unique applicants during the year, defined as individuals who applied for their first loan on Fibe’s platform. Of those applicants, 2.02 million were approved through the company’s proprietary credit‑assessment process, which incorporates internal policy checks, credit‑bureau data, income‑estimation models and behavioural indicators.
Fibe’s AI strategy extends beyond credit underwriting. The company has introduced Fibe Mind, a management‑information system that gives executives real‑time access to business metrics and trend analysis. It also employs an AI engineering agent that assists internal software‑development teams with code generation, testing and deployment, integrating with existing workflows. These tools are intended to improve customer engagement, risk assessment, credit decisioning, portfolio management and employee productivity.
The company’s platform supports a range of lending products and distribution channels across India through its mobile application and web interface. By embedding AI throughout the customer journey, Fibe aims to deliver faster, more accurate decisions and to reach borrowers with limited formal credit histories. The firm’s focus on purpose‑driven financing—providing loans for healthcare, education and other essential needs—has positioned it as one of the largest digital lending platforms in the country.
The ₹750 crore raise will allow Fibe to deepen its AI capabilities, expand its lending subsidiary, and invest in infrastructure that supports the growing volume of applications and disbursals. While the company has not announced specific product launches or regulatory filings, the funding round signals its intent to scale operations and enhance the customer experience.
In summary, Fibe’s latest capital raise underscores the fintech’s continued momentum in India’s digital‑lending market. With a strong track record of growth in AUM and profit, and a technology stack that leverages AI across the lending lifecycle, the company is positioned to expand its reach and deepen its impact on consumers seeking affordable credit.
