Unifocus Expands Workforce Management Suite with Portfolio-Wide Visibility and AI-Driven Insights
Hotel groups increasingly face the twin challenges of standardising quality across many sites while trimming operating costs. Yet many still operate with siloed technology stacks that hide performance trends across a portfolio. Unifocus said its latest tools close that gap.
For more than 25 years, Unifocus has linked labor planning, scheduling, time‑and‑attendance tracking, and core hotel operations. The company positions itself as a trusted partner for hoteliers worldwide.
Corporate Operations Analytics Dashboard
The first addition is a corporate‑operations analytics dashboard that pulls key performance indicators from Maintenance, Housekeeping, Inspection, Service and Glitch modules. According to the company, the dashboard gives corporate and regional leaders a single view of operational performance across all properties, enabling benchmarking and quick comparison.
Unified Operations Experience
Unifocus also introduced an updated reporting framework and a consolidated application—the Unifocus Operations App. The app merges housekeeping, maintenance, service, glitch and inspection tasks into one interface, eliminating the need for staff to juggle separate tools. New reporting capabilities turn raw activity data into actionable insights for managers.
AI‑Powered Labor Insights
A core part of the update is an AI engine that interprets labor variance. The system identifies the root cause of variance and classifies each issue as a cost, quality overtime, operational, productivity or forecast risk. It then recommends specific actions likely to improve outcomes. The redesigned home screen in the Unifocus Workforce Management module displays the most important labor, schedule and operational signals at login.
Enhanced Inspection Capabilities
The inspection module received a redesign that introduces standardised templates, weighted scoring that separates critical standards from minor issues, richer analytics, collaborative multi‑user inspections and improved auditability.
Executive Perspective
John Lockyer, Unifocus chief executive, said the updates respond to tighter margins and higher guest expectations. "Our customers are managing tighter margins and higher guest expectations than ever, and they need technology that helps them confidently and proactively take action to keep business on track," Lockyer said. "These enhancements bring AI‑driven insight to solutions hoteliers already trust, built on more than 25 years of hospitality insight and expertise. This is not about doing more with fewer people. It is about giving teams the clarity to deliver the best possible guest experience with the people they have, while better managing the two largest cost lines in any hotel: labour and operations."
Broader Investment in AI
Unifocus has offered predictive analytics to the hospitality market for over two decades. The company said the new releases bring that heritage forward to meet demand for AI‑driven capability, backed by deep, hospitality‑specific understanding.
Current Status
The enhancements are now live across Unifocus’s portfolio of workforce management and operations software. Hoteliers using the platform can immediately access portfolio‑wide dashboards, unified task views and AI‑generated labor recommendations. No additional product launches or regulatory actions have been announced at this time.
The company’s updates aim to give hotel groups clearer visibility into labor and operational performance, enabling more informed decision‑making and potentially improving guest experience while controlling two of the largest cost drivers in the industry.
