The Trade Desk Names Vinny Rinaldi Vice President of Client Strategy & Growth
Rinaldi brings over twenty years of experience driving marketing transformation for major brands. Before joining TTD, he was Vice President of Consumer Connections at The Hershey Company, and earlier held senior roles at Amazon, Google, GroupM and Dentsu. In each position, he has focused on modernizing marketing capabilities, aligning data and technology investments with measurable business outcomes, and building customer‑centric strategies.
TTD is the world’s largest independent demand‑side platform (DSP). Headquartered in Ventura, California, the company partners with more than 400 clients across more than 30 countries, delivering premium open‑internet inventory and data‑driven decisioning tools that give advertisers greater transparency and control.
In his new role, Rinaldi will collaborate with brands and agency partners to craft growth strategies that harness TTD’s technology, data‑driven decisioning capabilities and premium inventory. He will also guide clients through emerging opportunities in connected TV, retail media, digital audio and other high‑growth channels as artificial intelligence reshapes the advertising landscape.
TTD CEO and chairman Jeff Green said Rinaldi’s background aligns with the company’s focus on AI and data. “Vinny understands what it takes to help brands transform themselves for that future,” Green said. Rinaldi echoed this sentiment, noting that the advertising industry is entering a new era where marketers can make every advertising dollar work harder.
The appointment follows a wave of leadership moves at TTD, including the recent hiring of Nate Olmstead as Chief Financial Officer, Sarah Gavin as Chief Marketing Officer, and Kristi Argyilan as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. These changes underscore TTD’s commitment to strengthening client relationships and driving measurable growth through objective, data‑driven media buying.
COO Vivek Kundra, a former U.S. Chief Information Officer, has overseen TTD’s expansion into AI‑driven tools such as Kokai, OpenPath and Sincera. These initiatives aim to enhance campaign performance and provide deeper insights into audience behavior.
Rinaldi’s arrival is expected to reinforce TTD’s client‑centric approach and accelerate the adoption of AI and data analytics across its platform. While no new product launches have been announced, the company continues to invest in AI capabilities and data transparency solutions.
At present, there are no regulatory actions or court proceedings related to this appointment. The key question for TTD’s clients will be how Rinaldi’s strategies translate into measurable business outcomes in the evolving advertising ecosystem.
