On June 17, Soltec announced that its U.S. SFOne and SF7 series 1‑P and 2‑P single‑axis solar trackers have earned PFE‑compliant certification, a key qualification that lets project owners meet the U.S. Treasury’s prohibited‑foreign‑entity (PFE) guidance and unlock federal tax credits.

The certification confirms that every major component—torque tubes, structural fasteners, drive systems, dampers, actuators, controllers and rails—is manufactured in the United States and free from prohibited foreign entities. The approval followed a rigorous compliance review conducted with KPMG’s advisory support.

Over the past year, Soltec has reengineered its U.S. supply chain to establish a highly localized network capable of satisfying domestic‑content rules. The company has offered tracker solutions with 100 % U.S. domestic content since late last year, aligning precisely with Treasury guidance. This strategic shift not only meets regulatory demands but also improves cost competitiveness, delivery certainty and resilience against tariffs, freight volatility and geopolitical disruptions.

“Having a local supply chain lets our customers pursue Made‑in‑USA tax benefits while also gaining a more reliable and cost‑effective path to project completion,” said Mariano Berges, Soltec’s CEO. “The certification protects U.S. customers and provides greater execution certainty in a complex market environment.”

Soltec, headquartered in Miami, Florida, with a distribution hub in Houston, Texas, entered the U.S. market in 2015. Since then, it has delivered 3.2 GW of solar trackers across 20 states, partnering with leading engineering‑procurement‑construction (EPC) firms and independent power producers.

The PFE certification strengthens Soltec’s standing in the U.S. solar sector and underscores its commitment to supporting the energy transition through proven tracker technology, localized supply capabilities and a flexible approach to project execution.

Utility‑scale solar developers rely on single‑axis trackers to boost energy yield, and meeting domestic‑content requirements is essential for qualifying for the federal investment tax credit (ITC) and various state incentives. By ensuring that its trackers are fully U.S.‑made, Soltec offers a solution that aligns with current regulatory and market conditions.

At present, Soltec can provide PFE‑compliant certification for its U.S. SFOne and SF7 tracker series. The company has not announced additional product lines or pricing changes, and no regulatory actions or court proceedings are pending. Soltec’s next steps are expected to involve expanding its domestic‑content portfolio while closely monitoring Treasury guidance for future compliance requirements.
